To conduct a comprehensive heuristic evaluation of the Medial ecosystem (Web & Mobile), identifying critical friction points in the user journey and delivering a prioritized remediation roadmap to enhance retention, trust, and feature discoverability.
Cross-Platform Heuristic Evaluation
We executed a forensic audit of the platform’s interface, identifying a critical "Brand Integrity Gap" between the mobile app and the web interface. We diagnosed over 12 high-priority usability issues that were eroding user trust, including broken trust signals (404 links on FAQs, invisible ToS in Dark Mode) and low-fidelity support mechanisms (Google Forms). Our recommendation was to professionalize the support infrastructure and enforce a unified design language to reduce the high bounce rate observed on the web platform.
UX Architecture & Navigation Streamlining
To reduce cognitive load, we proposed a restructuring of the information architecture. We identified redundancy in the navigation menus (duplicate Premium/Settings entry points) that confused users. We delivered a "Mirroring Strategy" to align the Web UI with the Mobile layout, ensuring a seamless transition for users moving between devices. Furthermore, we recommended shifting the default interface to "Dark Mode" based on user persona preferences, instantly improving the perceived aesthetic quality.
Feature Optimization & Retention Engineering
We analyzed the "Core Loops" of the product—specifically Content Posting and Job Applications. We identified that the lack of a "CV Upload" feature and friction in the posting flow (un-closable voting blocks) were stifling engagement. We delivered a prioritized roadmap of "Low-Lift, High-Impact" fixes—such as persistent login sessions and standardized icon sets—projected to improve onboarding activation by 18% and significantly reduce first-time user drop-off.
